Mark Gabriel
I initially majored in Psychology and looking to continue with my doctorate in Neuropsychology. After my Bachelors, I decided to do something that I love, rather than liked.
I have always had a love for fashion, and I decided to pursue my dream and learn menswear. I got accepted into The Fashion Institute of Technology with a full scholarship, and realized my passion.
I have spent over 15 years designing menswear for brands such as Ralph Lauren, Nike, Adidas, Under Armour, Opening Ceremony, and Reebok just to name a few.
My creative approach—no matter the medium—is problem solving. I view design as not only something beautiful, but a way to solve a need. I always look to different fields, such as art and architecture and do several iterations on each problem I want to solve.
For me, design isn’t only about how something looks, but rather, a way to find a solution and a meaning to what I am designing for. It’s a way to plant a little bit of desire in their hearts; a yearning to turn the page and learn more about your idea. Ultimately, it’s about creating memorable designs.
